The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛 successfully organized its World HIV Day Awareness Session, an initiative dedicated to enhancing 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and promoting 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 among students.

We were privileged to have worthy 𝐏𝐫𝐨–𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧, whose presence highlighted the university’s active role in promoting health-conscious learning environments.

Additionally, 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐚𝐳, DEO Health, joined as the honourable 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭, underscoring the importance of public health awareness. The session also featured 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 as the respectable 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫, who shared valuable guidance on HIV realities, stigma reduction, and safe health practices.

The two-day event provided valuable insights on the implementation of the 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐀 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐏𝐒𝐆–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐄). Department of Allied Health Sciences, The University of Chenab has arranged a free camp for the patient’s dietary and nutritional assessment. This innovative initiative, hosted at the Social Security Hospital, Gujranwala is not just an event but a movement to foster nutrition awareness and provide invaluable hands-on training to final year students of BDNS as well. The students, under the supervision of Ms Muzna Sultana, Clinical Dietician and Lecturer at University of Chenab, provided interactive sessions with the patients, calculated their BMI, checked their dietary habits and assess their nutritional needs. This impactful event witnessed the convergence of health professionals and passionate students all driven by a singular goal: to foster nutrition awareness and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the community.

Free Medical and Physiotherapy Camp

The Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Chenab Gujrat organized a one-day free medical and physiotherapy camp on Thursday, July 20, 2023. The camp was held in the city of Gujrat and was attended by many people from the area. Dr. Abid Ali, Dr. Khushbo Gulzar, Dr. Mirza Mohammad Farooq, Dr. Shehryar Asghar, Dr. Adnan, Dr. Rehan, and Dr. Sami were among the doctors who conducted free medical consultations and examinations. They also performed free ultrasound and blood tests on the patients. A large number of students from the University of Chenab also volunteered at the camp. They helped the doctors with patient care and registration.

Pro-rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar said that the camp was organized to provide free medical care to the people of the region. He said that early detection of diseases is important for their effective treatment.

Deputy Chairman Naveed Akbar said that the University of Chenab is committed to serving the community. He said that the university is playing an important role in the development and prosperity of the region.

The residents of the area who attended the camp were grateful for the free medical care they received. They praised the efforts of the University of Chenab.

Powerlifting Competition-23

UChenab Gym and Office of the Student Affairs has arranged the Powerlifting Competition-23 at The University of Chenab, Gujrat. In this event, various students manifested their prowess and the ability to lift weights. Students from all the departments participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. The competition was won by Huraira Ali from DPT-Department of Allied Health Sciences. The junior category winner is Haider Ali from The Department of Languages. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Gym Instructor Waqas Afzal & Faisal Butt-Judge (National Powerlifting Champion). At the end of the event, the Guest of Honor, Pro-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar awarded the winners with trophies and sashes, and appreciated the organizers.
