The 2nd Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Province Ninja Championship was an exciting showcase of talent and unity, as the event organizers Rashid Mehmood, Shakeel Sarwar, and Umer Farooq welcomed distinguished guests including ADCG Gujrat, Political Leader Muslim League “Q” Ali Abrar Jorha, Registrar University of Chenab Mr. Gohar Ayub, Director Office of Students Affairs Dr. Abid Ali, Chairperson Civil Technology Department Dr. Zulfiqar, and Chairperson Business Education Department Dr. Ahmad Adeel. With 180 male and 32 female athletes from all 9 divisions of Punjab, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Federal, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtoon Khwah, this mega event was a true display of strength and determination.

The University of Chenab Gujrat hosted a seminar and awareness walk on diabetes. The seminar, entitled “A Day Dedicated to Diabetes,” focused on raising awareness about diabetes and its impacts.
Diabetes is a chronic health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. The seminar featured presentations from esteemed guest Dr. Hafiz Waqar Zafar and Pro-rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal Waqar. The awareness walk followed the seminar in which participants walked around the university campus to raise awareness about diabetes and to show their support for people with diabetes.

This innovative initiative, hosted at the Social Security Hospital, Gujranwala is not just an event but a movement to foster nutrition awareness and provide invaluable hands-on training to final year students of BDNS as well. The students, under the supervision of Ms Muzna Sultana, Clinical Dietician and Lecturer at University of Chenab, provided interactive sessions with the patients, calculated their BMI, checked their dietary habits and assess their nutritional needs. Free Medical and Physiotherapy Camp
The Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Chenab Gujrat organized a one-day free medical and physiotherapy camp on Thursday, July 20, 2023. The camp was held in the city of Gujrat and was attended by many people from the area. Dr. Abid Ali, Dr. Khushbo Gulzar, Dr. Mirza Mohammad Farooq, Dr. Shehryar Asghar, Dr. Adnan, Dr. Rehan, and Dr. Sami were among the doctors who conducted free medical consultations and examinations. They also performed free ultrasound and blood tests on the patients. A large number of students from the University of Chenab also volunteered at the camp. They helped the doctors with patient care and registration.
Pro-rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar said that the camp was organized to provide free medical care to the people of the region. He said that early detection of diseases is important for their effective treatment.
Deputy Chairman Naveed Akbar said that the University of Chenab is committed to serving the community. He said that the university is playing an important role in the development and prosperity of the region.
The residents of the area who attended the camp were grateful for the free medical care they received. They praised the efforts of the University of Chenab.

Powerlifting Competition-23
UChenab Gym and Office of the Student Affairs has arranged the Powerlifting Competition-23 at The University of Chenab, Gujrat. In this event, various students manifested their prowess and the ability to lift weights. Students from all the departments participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. The competition was won by Huraira Ali from DPT-Department of Allied Health Sciences. The junior category winner is Haider Ali from The Department of Languages. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Gym Instructor Waqas Afzal & Faisal Butt-Judge (National Powerlifting Champion). At the end of the event, the Guest of Honor, Pro-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar awarded the winners with trophies and sashes, and appreciated the organizers.

He highlighted the opportunities and future trends in the realm of Allied Health Sciences particularly in Physical Therapy. Dr. Fahad Usman (Aesthetic Physician, Dermatologist & Stem Cells Consultant) was the keynote speaker. The Pro-rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal Waqar announced 3 Months Fellowship Program on “Bio-cellular rehabilitation and stem cells” for the DPTs and MBBS doctors here at UChenab.

One Day Seminar Workshop on Ultrasound
Medical Imaging Sciences Program of Department of Allied Health Sciences organized “One Day Seminar Workshop on Ultrasound” at The University of Chenab Gujrat. Dr. Tahir Khalil Uppal radiologist from Khalil Institute of Ultrasound, Dr. Muhammad Ali radiologist from Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital and Dr. Asma Rashid consultant gynecologist from Sajida Khalil Hospital Gujrat were the Guest speakers. After the talk of the guest speakers there were hands-on training on the modern machines provided by the Biotech Services. Dr. Naeem Akhtar Janjua (CEO Health) and Dr. Ghamkhar Husain Shah (DHO) were the guests of honor. Chairperson Department of Allied Health Sciences Dr. Abid addressed audience abhout the importance of clinical training in the different programs of Allied Health sciences being offered at The University of Chenab. He appreciates the efforts of students, organizers and Guest speakers as well as the guest of honors and distributed shields and certificates among the participants.
