Orientation Fall-2024

The University of Chenab, Gujrat warmly welcomed new students and their families on Orientation Day, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey. The event, held in the university’s grand auditorium, was graced by the esteemed presence of Deputy Chairman BOG, Mr. Naveed Akbar, Registrar Mr. Gohar Ayub, Director of Student Affairs Dr. Abid Ali, Patron of Clubs and Societies Dr. Shahzada Adeel, and the Chairpersons of various departments. Nikon Photography & Videography Workshop

“𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 & 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩” held in the University of Chenab Gujrat.

The workshop session led by industry expert Muhammad Bilal Shah (Nikon Trainer), this workshop promised a deep dive into the world of photography and videography. Students got real insights of Digital Media Content Production. Pro-rector Dr. Syed Hassan Raza thanked the Nikon Team for their support for the session and presented souvenirs to Nikon Official.

Career Management in the Digital World: Seminar on CSS, PMS & Leadership

The University of Chenab, Gujrat organized a seminar on the topic “Career Management in the Digital World” with 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗢𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵 (Lecturer, Deputy Director, University of Narrowal) on Civil Service Exams (CSS), Provincial Management Service (PMS), Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), and Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). He discussed about the success in these exams and motivated students with his impactful words. Engr. Usama Saeed provided valuable to the students on the key attributes of a leader that are necessary to attain their objectives and excel in competitive examinations.

The University of Chenab, Gujrat is taking the lead in exhibiting the biomechanics projects for the very first time in Pakistan. The talented students showcased their projects under the leadership of Dr. Farooq Islam (Head of Physical Therapy Department) and Dr. Muhammad Asif Javed (Assistant Professor/Head of the Pediatric Physical Therapy Department at Riphah International University, Lahore) witnessed the progress of the projects and admired the professional development at The University of Chenab.

The faculty members were commended by Dr. Muhammad Asif Javed for their exemplary efforts, as reflected in the high quality of the student’s projects. The esteemed presence of Pro-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar at the event further elevated its significance, as he diligently reviewed each project.

1st UChenab Mathematics Challenge 2023

The Department of Physical Science successfully organized the “1st UChenab Mathematics Challenge 2023” a quiz competition, engaging students from various colleges. In this competition, the top-performing team, securing the first prize, hails from Govt. Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Graduate College, Wazirabad, remarkably, the second and third positions are claimed by teams representing Kips College, Kotla, Gujrat. During the prize distribution ceremony, the esteemed Pro-Reactor announced a generous 50% scholarship for students aspiring to enroll in the University of Chenab’s Department of Physical Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Nasir Mehmood, Vice Chancellor – Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad and Dr. Shahid Soraya, DG – Pakistan institute of Education Islamabad visited the University of Chenab Gujrat. Dy. Chairman (BoG), Naveed Akbar and Pro-rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal Waqar welcomed the worthy guests. Dr. Nasir Mehmood had a session with all faculty. The Department of Allied Health Sciences has arranged an “International Research Seminar/Webinar” in collaboration with “IMG Helping Hands”. This session aims to inculcate the skills which are necessary to publish an article in a high impact factor/ W category Journals. It provided brief insight on how to write a research proposal and delivered detailed information about the do’s and dont’s of any research article. Dr. Mohd Al Tawil (research specialist and Mentor IMG Helping Hands) Zain Abdin, MD Founder and CEO IMG Helping Hands, and Dr. Uzzam (Research Expert and Mentor of IMG Helping Hands) were the keynote speakers. Students took the glance of the mindset of an international journal reviewer.
